Federation obtains signatures on Sikh genocide petition

Amritsar,Punjab: Sikh Rights group’s All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) and “Sikhs for Justice” (SFJ) launched a nationwide campaign “1984 – Yes, It’s Genocide” to collect “Million Signatures” in support of the Sikh ” Genocide Petition” to be filed before the United Nations in November.

The Sikh “Genocide Petition” will be filed pursuant to “1503 Petition” procedure asking UN to investigate the systematic, intentional and deliberate killing of Sikhs carried out throughout India during the first week of November 1984 and to recognize the same as “Genocide”, said AISSF president Karnail Singh Peermohammad on Wednesday.

The petition would be presented to UN at Geneva Switzerland in November along with Bibi Jagdish Kaur prime witness in Sajjan Kumar’s case added he.In 2012, Sikhs supreme temporal seat Akal Takhat had issued an edict directing All India Sikhs Students Federation (AISSF) and “Sikhs for Justice” (SFJ) to file “1984 -Genocide Petition” before the United Nations.

  1. …and what will come of this begging and playing the victimology card? Maybe an international holiday? A UN declaration. Pointless and it changes nothing – not the past – nor present condition of SIkhs. Stop asking others to give you justice. It’s a mockery of Guru.
