Phagwara sees complete Bandh in protest against Kamlesh Ahir

kamleshPhagwara, Punjab:Several Sikh and Hindu organisations here staged protests and demanded action against an Italy-based NRI writer for her alleged derogatory remarks against Sikh gurus and Hindu gods.

The religious groups also sought an unconditional apology from Kamlesh Ahir, for “hurting the religious sentiments of Sikhs and Hindus”.

Under the banner of General Samaj Manch, Punjab, agitators observed Phagwara Bandh in protest against a CD of Ahir, in which she reportedly detailed against caste discrimination prevailing among Punjabi immigrants in foreign countries recently.

The protesters took out a rally in the city and submitted a memorandum to local Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Amarjit Pal, demanding proscription of the CD and booking Ahir, who belong to Punjab, for outraging religious feelings

    I dont believe she deserves to be punished for her speech. She has the right to free speech, just like the religious people have the right to free speech.

  2. i do not agree with this so called kamlesh.she is hurting so many peoples just to gain negative populairty


    Kamlesh ahir has lost her senses.She has neither gyan of Buddism, Nor Sikhism.She is tring to exployt a section of people. BUT the people will not listen her. She look like a patient of mental problem. But she will earlier come to know that she was totaly wrong. IF she has little wisdom she should apolozise for the mistakes done. She make bakwas but she wants but she has no right to say some thing about any religion, about which she has no knowlege. OTHER WISE HISTORY REPEATS. she must remember this thing.
