Mobiles silenced at Harmandar Sahib

no mobileAmritsar, Punjab: On your next visit to Harmandar Sahib, you can be sure your quest for calm and serenity will remain uninterrupted by the irksome mobile rings. The SGPC has installed phone-jammers around the sanctum sanctorum.

SGPC president Avtar Singh Makkar said jammers had also been installed at three gurdwaras in Fatehgarh Sahib and more were proposed at other shrines to ensure the tranquility was not broken, and pilgrims could partake of the hymns and prayers undisturbed. Although the SGPC had put up several notice boards asking for mobiles to be switched off in the sanctum sanctorum of Harmandar Sahib, many pilgrims ignored the advice unabashedly.

Kirtan (hymns), as well as its live telecast, was also disturbed often. On complaints that certain “ragis” and “pathis” too carried phones while on job, the SGPC had earlier banned the use of mobiles by its staff.

Meanwhile, the SGPC has asked for demonstrations from firms that have filed tenders to install closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras on the shrine’s premises for security. A panel will finalise the order in a few days.

    to humanity. It is Dasam Granth that condemns brahminism, their rituals and Avtars in the strongest possible language. That is the reason brahmins are spreading misinformation about Dasam granth sahib through their agents who look like sikhs but have sold their religion.Read below

    Krishna himself is considered the treasure of Grace, then why did the hunter shoot his arrow at him ? He has been described as redeeming the clans of others then he caused the destruction of his own clan;

    ਕਹੂੰ ਲੈ ਠੋਕ ਬਧੇ ਉਰ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਾਹੂੰ ਮਹੇਸ਼ ਕੌ ਏਸ ਬਖਾਨਯੋ ॥ ਕਾਹੂੰ ਕਹਯੋ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰ ਮੈ ਹਰਿ ਕਾਹੂੰ ਮਸੀਤ ਕੈ ਬੀਚ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਨਯੋ ॥
    कहूं लै ठोक बधे उर ठाकुर काहूं महेश कौ एस बखानयो ॥ काहूं कहयो हरि मंदर मै हरि काहूं मसीत कै बीच प्रमानयो ॥
    Someone has tied the stone-idol around his neck and someone has accepted Shiva as the Lord; someone considers the Lord within the temple or the mosque;

    Someone calls him Ram or Krishna and someone believes in His incarnations, but my mind has forsaken all useless actions and has accepted only the One Creator.12.

    ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਔ ਬਿਸਨ ਜਪੇ ਤੁਹਿ ਕੋਟਿਕ ਰਾਮ ਰਹੀਮ ਭਲੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਧਿਆਯੋ ॥
    क्रिसन औ बिसन जपे तुहि कोटिक राम रहीम भली बिधि धिआयो ॥
    Thou hast meditated on millions of Krishnas, Vishnus, Ramas and Rahims.

    ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜਪਿਓ ਅਰੁ ਸੰਭੁ ਥਪਿਓ ਤਹਿ ਤੇ ਤੁਹਿ ਕੋ ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਨ ਬਚਾਯੋ ॥
    ब्रहम जपिओ अरु स्मभु थपिओ तहि ते तुहि को किनहूं न बचायो ॥
    Thou hast recited the name of Brahma and established Shivalingam, even then none could save thee.

    ਕੋਟ ਕਰੀ ਤਪਸਾ ਦਿਨ ਕੋਟਿਕ ਕਾਹੂੰ ਨ ਕੌਡੀ ਕੋ ਕਾਮ ਕਢਾਯੋ ॥
    कोट करी तपसा दिन कोटिक काहूं न कौडी को काम कढायो ॥
    Thou hast observed millions of austerities for millions of days, but thou could not be compensated even for the value of a penny .

    ਕਾਮਕੁ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਕਸੀਰੇ ਕੇ ਕਾਮ ਨ ਕਾਲ ਕੋ ਘਾਉ ਕਿਨਹੂੰ ਨ ਬਚਾਯੋ ॥੯੭॥
    कामकु मंत्र कसीरे के काम न काल को घाउ किनहूं न बचायो ॥९७॥
    The Mantra recited for fulfillment of worldly desires doth not even bring the least gain and none of such Mantras can save from the blow of KAL.97.

    ਕਾਹੇ ਕੋ ਕੂਰ ਕਰੈ ਤਪਸਾ ਇਨ ਕੀ ਕੋਊ ਕੌਡੀ ਕੇ ਕਾਮ ਨ ਐਹੈ ॥
    काहे को कूर करै तपसा इन की कोऊ कौडी के काम न ऐहै ॥
    Why doth thou indulge in false austerities, because they will not bring in gain of even one penny.

    ਤੋਹਿ ਬਚਾਇ ਸਕੈ ਕਹੁ ਕੈਸੇ ਕੈ ਆਪਨ ਘਾਵ ਬਚਾਇ ਨ ਐਹੈ ॥
    तोहि बचाइ सकै कहु कैसे कै आपन घाव बचाइ न ऐहै ॥
    They (deities) cannot save themselves form the blow (of KAL), how can they protect thee?

    ਕੋਪ ਕਰਾਲ ਕੀ ਪਾਵਕ ਕੁੰਡ ਮੈ ਆਪ ਟੰਗਿਓ ਤਿਮ ਤੋਹਿ ਟੰਗੈਹੈ ॥
    कोप कराल की पावक कुंड मै आप टंगिओ तिम तोहि टंगैहै ॥
    They are all hanging in the blazing fire of anger, therefore they will cause thy hanging similarly.

    ਚੇਤ ਰੇ ਚੇਤ ਅਜੋ ਜੀਅ ਮੈਂ ਜੜ ਕਾਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਬਿਨੁ ਕਾਮ ਨ ਐਹੈ ॥੯੮॥
    चेत रे चेत अजो जीअ मैं जड़ काल क्रिपा बिनु काम न ऐहै ॥९८॥
    O fool! Ruminate now in thy mind; none will be of any use to thee except the grace of KAL.98.

    ਤਾਹਿ ਪਛਾਨਤ ਹੈ ਨ ਮਹਾ ਪਸੁ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪੁ ਤਿਹੂੰ ਪੁਰ ਮਾਹੀ ॥
    ताहि पछानत है न महा पसु जा को प्रतापु तिहूं पुर माही ॥
    O foolish beast! Thou doth not recognize Him, Whose Glory hath spread over all the three worlds.

    ਪੂਜਤ ਹੈ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਕੈ ਜਿਹ ਕੇ ਪਰਸੈ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਪਰਾਹੀ ॥
    पूजत है परमेसर कै जिह के परसै परलोक पराही ॥
    Thou worship those as Gods, by whose touch thou shalt be driven far away from the next world.

    ਪਾਪ ਕਰੋ ਪਰਮਾਰਥ ਕੈ ਜਿਹ ਪਾਪਨ ਤੇ ਅਤਿ ਪਾਪ ਲਜਾਹੀ ॥
    पाप करो परमारथ कै जिह पापन ते अति पाप लजाही ॥
    Thou art committing such sins in th name of parmarath (the subtle truth) that by committing them the Great sins may feel shy.

    ਪਾਇ ਪਰੋ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਕੇ ਜੜ ਪਾਹਨ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੯੯॥
    पाइ परो परमेसर के जड़ पाहन मैं परमेसर नाही ॥९९॥
    O fool! Fall at the feet of Lord-God, the Lord is not within the stone-idols.99.

    ਮੋਨ ਭਜੇ ਨਹੀ ਮਾਨ ਤਜੇ ਨਹੀ ਭੇਖ ਸਜੇ ਨਹੀ ਮੂੰਡ ਮੁੰਡਾਏ॥
    मोन भजे नही मान तजे नही भेख सजे नही मूंड मुंडाए॥
    The Lord cannot be realized by observing silence, by forsaking pride, by adopting guises and by shaving the head.

    ਕੰਠਿ ਨ ਕੰਠੀ ਕਠੋਰ ਧਰੈ ਨਹੀ ਸੀਸ ਜਟਾਨ ਕੇ ਜੂਟ ਸੁਹਾਏ ॥
    कंठि न कंठी कठोर धरै नही सीस जटान के जूट सुहाए ॥
    He cannot be realized by wearing Kanthi (a short necklace of small beads of different kinds made of wood or seeds worn by mendicants or ascetics) for severe austerities or Thy making a knot of matted hair on the head.

    ਸਾਚੁ ਕਹੋਂ ਸੁਨ ਲੈ ਚਿਤ ਦੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੀਨ ਦਿਆਲ ਕੀ ਸਾਮ ਸਿਧਾਏ ॥
    साचु कहों सुन लै चित दै बिनु दीन दिआल की साम सिधाए ॥
    Listen attentively, I speak Turth, Thou shalt not achieve the target without going under the Refuge of the LORD, Who is ever Merciful to the lowly.

    I think the act of SGPC to install the jammers in side in the HARIMANDER SAHIB is commendble,at least the place where the people make prayers and sit calm to listen to the holi singing should be made freem from any mobile disturbances.people are useing mobile phones while eating driving working,so much so students are also not behind,they carry them in the class rooms,teacher cant stop them becouse he is no more role model,actually role models have been changed.mostly teacher pass their time.mobile using is not prblem.unjudecial use of mobile is worrysome,which led to the un neccery expenses to meet people in corrupt practice,
    so act of the SGPS is admirable

    I do not like the word for word identical chapters per say in Dassam Granth that have copied too much of our Hindu scriptures. I have come to the realization that some of our bad Brahmans composed separate parts that were much later compiled into one volume of Dasam Granth to disguise Hinduism as Sikhism in order to destroy Sikhism, thereby replacing Guru Granth Sahib with Dasam Granth. In the next 50-100 years, Sikhism will believe that Guru Gobind Singh made Sikhism complete, and that now the only Granth for Sikhs is the Dasam Granth. What a disgusting conspiracy these bad Brahmans have done, and moreever Sikh heretics pushing to other Sikhs that Dasam Granth is Gurbani. Other parts of Dasam Granth that are not copies of our Hindu scriptures were written at least 150 years after Guru Gobind Singh. Check the usage, philosophy, vocabulary, and syntax of Dasam Granth. I am ashamed I am a Brahman. Perhaps I should get more into Guru Granth Sahib, and less time studying Hinduism. Perhaps it is meant maybe that I should be a Sikh. I am tired of all these idols, which one to please first and all those pakandi scrupulous useless rituals that I now see some of these so called Sikh Amritdhari Sikhs practicing.

  4. This initally seems like a wonderful idea to restore the calm essence that is so commonly distrupted in Darbar Sahib. However, does this mean that these mobile phone jammers will disallow people inside Darbar Sahib from making outgoing calls? If so, what does this technology mean for the sangat there in the event that (god forbid) the Indian government attempts to once again attack the Golden Temple? No outgoing calls will be made…
