New Delhi: The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) today called upon the Sikhs in India and abroad to organise ‘Walk for Justice’ on February 10.
Of the 587 genocide cases registered, 241 had been closed by the Delhi Police, said DSGMC president Manjit Singh GK here today. In Delhi, the walk would begin at 6 pm from Gurdwara Bangla Sahib and end at the PM’s house.
Manjit Singh said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should explain the kind of help sought by then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi while planning Operation Bluestar.
“The UPA government in 2005 tabled an action taken report (ATR) in Parliament and promised to speed up the trial of genocide cases and rehabilitate families of riot victims. Not a single person has been indicted so far and the victims are still suffering,” he said.
