Ludhiana, Punjab: A seminar “Environment conservation: the perspective of different religions” was organised at Gurdwara Gur Gian Prakash Jawaddi Taksal in the memory of late Sant Baba Sucha Singh, founder of Jawaddi Taksal on Wednesday.
Giani Jaswinder Singh, headgranthi of Sri Harimandir Sahib, praised Giani Amir Singh, head of Jawaddi Taksal and his team for the activities performed by the Taksal.
While Baba Balbir Singh Sechewal presented his key note address, Dr Harshinder Kaur Patiala presented a paper on “Bhroon Hatiya Ate Dharam Di Drishti”, Dr Inderjit Kaur, Head, Pingalwara Society, Amritsar, presided over the inaugural function.
In the first and second session of the seminar, renowned scholar of Delhi University Dr Satinder Singh Noor presented a paper on “Environment, global warming and gurbani.”
Dr Jodh Singh Patiala presented a paper on “Environment and gurbani message” while Dr Paramjit Singh, Dr Inderjit Singh Vasu and Dr Gurnek Singh Amritsar, Dr Major Singh, and Giani Kulwant Singh also delivered their lectures. All the speakers stressed that only by saving environment, we would be able to safeguard the lives of coming generations. In the evening, a kirtan darbar was organised.
