Christies auction house auctioning historic Sikh Artefacts

UK: Christies auction house will be auctioning some Sikh historic artefacts coming this april 26th, 2012. I have just seen the press release from Christies auction house in London who are selling some very historic Sikh items.

Auction house will be putting Sikh objects including a gun from 1832 given by Ranjit Singh, the “Lion of the Punjab” and a 19th century Sikh battle flag.

  1. 1832 Rifle owned by Maharajah Ranjit Singh (estimate: £20,000-30,000)
  2. Various Miniatures of Sikh paintings
  3. Sikh Battle Flag captured by the British during the Anglo Sikh Wars (estimate: £15,000-25,000)

These important historical items should be purchased by Sikhs for display for future generations.
