The sacred Banee of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib has guided the Khalsa for the last 300 years and is part and parcel of the Sikh psyche. Sri Dasam Granth of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib is the second most respected scripture of the Sikhs after Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. In addition of being the source of the Banees of Sikh Baptism (Amrit Sanchar), Daily Prayer (Nitnem) and Ardas, Sri Dasam Granth Sahib is also the only source from where the terminologies, phrases and concepts of the Khalsa are derived. Some prominent examples are, ‘Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh’, ‘Deg Teg Fateh’, ‘Bipran Ki Reet’, ‘Panth’, ‘Khalsa’, ‘Khanda’, ‘Kirpan’, ‘Sarab-loh’, ‘Dharam-Yudh’ etc.

Toronto, Canada: A loud and boisterous debate took place last weekend in Toronto between Panthic Singhs and an anti-Dasam Granth nindak, Gurcharan Brar Jeonvala. Dear Sikh Community, Don’t you think that the Ragi Darshan Singh’s saga is growing out of proportion at the cost of sanctity of the Akal Takht Sahib? The Akal Takht was instituted by Guru Hargobind Singh Ji as the highest Sikh Institution to strengthen the Community and give direction. When the building of the Akal Takht was damaged during Operation Blue Star, we were all hurt though we rebuilt it by putting bricks and cement together through Kar Seva. And now we are ourselves destroying the very foundation of the Institution of Akal Takht with our own hands. How can the Sikhs accept this? Is this not a mockery?

Calender is an important landmark of a community that highlights important religious days, festivals, historical happenings and traditional heritage .But a calender in which dates do not match historical occasions will turn history into mythology. That was what present Nanakshahi calender was doing.
Guru ki Ninda Sunne Na Kaan

Jasvir Singh Amritsar, Punjab: So called preacher Ragi Darshan Singh is guilty of using derogatory words for character assassination of Sahib Guru Gobind Singh ji who is giver of amrit and sacrificed his entire family so that Sikhs could live. He has used such words as Guru Sahib going to a prostitute—-, prostitute shouting thief, thief—- Guru Ji fleeing leaving shoes behind—- etc. This is very insulting language for Guru Sahib and those who have love for guru sahib can’t even hear such words.
