Police booked BJP MLA for storing liquor in bulk quantity

Amritsar, Punjab: Police said that on the tip of Congress activists a surprise raid was conducted by police party where police seized 294 boxes of liquors which belonged to Anil Joshi who has been booked but not arrested and further investigation was still under process.

Sitting Hardline MLA and BJP candidate from Amritsar Anil Joshi refuted the charge. Claiming that he had nothing to do with the seizure, he charged the Excise department with concocting the story against him. He claimed that attempts were being made to implicate him in the false case of liquor seizure. Police had conducted a raid on the premises of the MLA yesterday and seized 294 boxes of liquor containing 3528 bottles. It was suspected that the liquor was meant for distribution during the upcoming elections.
