Jalandhar, Punjab: Head of Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan, Ashutosh died in his dera in Noormahal, Jalandhar district on intervening night on Wednesday.
Ashutosh reportedly died of heart attack. He was also the founder of the Dera in 1983 in Noormahal.
The exact cause of death of the Dera head is yet to be confirmed officially by the dera, however, sources said the dera head died after having severe pain in the chest.
Following the news of his death, followers have started moving towards Noormahal.
Sikh protests against Ashutosh in Ludhiana in 2009 resulted in the Shaheedi of Bhai Darshan Singh Lohara when Punjab Police opened fire on Sikhs.
