Rajoana to field candidate from Patiala

Patiala, Punjab: Balwant Singh Rajoana, death row convict in the Beant Singh assassination case, has said he will field a candidate against members of the erstwhile royal family of Patiala.

In a letter written from the central jail here, which was released by his sister to the media, Rajoana said he would field a candidate either from Patiala or Anandpur Sahib.

Rajoana alleged that the Patiala seat, represented by the erstwhile royal family of Patiala, was working against the Sikhs and the Khalsa Panth.

The Patiala seat is represented by Union Minister Preneet Kaur, wife of former Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh while Ravneet Singh Bittu, grandson of Beant Singh, represents the Anandpur Sahib seat.
