Hola Mohalla celebrations begin

Anandpur Sahib, Punjab: Thousands of devotees thronged various historic gurdwaras of Anandpur Sahib and Kiratpur Sahib, including Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, to pay obeisance on the second phase of the annual Hola Mohalla festival that began on Saturday. The first phase concluded on Friday.

As devotees took the holy dip in the sarovar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, a large number of langars (community kitchens) were also organised on roads leading to the venue by various organisations and villagers. Religious diwans (discourses) have also begun at the Takht and various other places in the town, which has been beautifully decorated for the occasion.

The district administration has diverted traffic on some routes for smooth movement on the national highway passing through the town
