Yogendra Yadav takes jibe at Modi over narco-terrorism

Moga, Punjab: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Yogendra Yadav said here today that drug-addiction among youths was the biggest political issue in the area. Referring to the statement of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi that the inflow of drugs was from Pakistan, Yadav said the biggest drug mafias, holding cabinet ranks in the state from his party’s alliance partner SAD, were sitting beside him when he was giving the statement. “The names of many senior Akali leaders have come up in the recent past for shielding the drug mafia,” he said.

Talking to The Tribune, he said, “It is unfortunate that leaders such as Modi sit beside drug mafias and talk on narco-terrorism. There is a need to clean your own house before you talk about others.”

Yadav said there was a strong anti-incumbency factor against the SAD-BJP government in Punjab and the Congress at the central level. “The mood of the people this time is to reject both the parties and bring in good governance. We have come out as a better choice for the common man to change the nature of politics,” he added.

“We will ensure maximum participation of people in governance by bringing in administrative reforms,” he said.
