Amritsar, Punjab: Akal Takht jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh has taken strong note of unscrupulous elements’ using the Internet for posting comments and views that are anti-religion.
The jathedar issued a statement here on Monday that the comments were liable to provoke adverse reactions from members of all religious communities.
The statement comes after morphed images of two Sikh Gurus were pasted on websites. Earlier an individual from Moga had made derogatory remarks against Sikh Gurus and posted these on his facebook website.
“It is not just a case with Sikhs. Attempts are being made to hurt the religious sentiments of other communities as well by posting derogatory remarks on twitter and facebook. This is a deliberate attempt by some to stir up communal feelings and disturb peace,” the jathedar added.
