Akal Takht Sahib, Punjab: Sri Akal Takht Sahib literally means The Seat (Throne) of the Timeless One or Seat (Throne) of God. It is one of the five seats of temporal physical religious authority of the Sikhs. Akal means The Timeless One – another term for God. The Akal Takht was begun by the sixth Sikh Guru, Guru Har Gobind as a symbol for political sovereignty of Sikhs. It stood as a symbol of political and military resistance against the tyranny and cruelity of the rulers the 17th and 18th century. The Jathedar of the Akal Takht along with the Jathedars of the other four holy Takhts are the temporary temporal religious authority of the Sikhs. The current Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib is Giani Gurbachan Singh.
In an unprecedented move, the highest Sikh temporal seat Akal Takht today issued an edict excommunicating its former head Darshan Singh for his alleged “blasphemous” remarks against the 10th Sikh master Guru Gobind Singh.
The Sikh high priests today ex-communicated Singer Darshan Singh, former Akal Takht Jathedar, from the Sikh Panth for his controversial discourse and ostensibly for his ‘defiant posture’ towards the Sikh clergy during the hearing of the case. This is for the first time in the 540-year-old Sikh history that a former head of the Akal Takht has been expelled from the community, Akal Takht sources here said. Sangat blamed Ragi Darshan for his egoistic attitude.

The edict strictly advised the entire Sikh community all over the world not to entertain Darshan Singh anywhere, specially at Sikh shrines and not to keep any relation with him.
The action against him has been taken as he allegedly made “blasphemous” remarks against Guru Gobind Singh in the US last year. Holding him guilty of religious misconduct in December last year for his controversial remarks against the Sikh Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji, the Akal Takht had declared him Tankhaiya.
He had also been asked to appear before the Sikh clergy at the Akal Takht to admit his misconduct “religious misdeed” and to undergo Tankha (religious punishment) to be awarded by the Takht but he did not make an appearance before the highest Sikh temporal seat.
Singer Darshan had presented himself at the Takht on December 5 in a controversial manner by refusing to appear before the Jathedars of Five Takhts saying he could not appear before them in a separate room of the Takht secretariat.
Ex-communicated Darshan Singh was given three chance to appear and explain his actions. He never showed up but instead used foul language against Singh Sahibans.
The Sikh high priests – Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh, Balwant Singh Nandgarh of Takht Damdama Sahib, Iqbal Singh of Takht Patna Sahib, Tarlochan Singh of Takht Kesgarh Sahib and Jot Inder Singh, Deputy Jathedar of Takht Hazoor Sahib -started deliberating on the issue at the secretariat at 10.30 a.m.
Their marathon meeting on the contentious issue concluded at around 5 pm when they issued the edict and Giani Gurbachan Singh read it out from Akal Takht stating that Singer Darshan Singh has been expelled from the Sikh Panth.
“Prof. Darshan Singh was asked to appear at the Takht and give his clarification regarding his blasphemous remarks. But he refused to appear before the five Sikh high priests. Not only this, he also used inappropriate language against them. He is being expelled from the Sikh Panth. The Sikh sangat should not keep any relation with him. Prof Darshan Singh or any of his supporters should not be allowed to speak from any Sikh stage in the country or abroad. The violators will be treated as tankhayias,” said Akal Takht Jathedar Singh Sahib Giani Gurbachan Singh

24 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਹੈੱਡ-ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਦੇ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਰਤਰਫ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। 23 ਜਨਵਰੀ 1987 ਨੂੰ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੇ ਲੱਖਾ ਸਿੰਘ, ਹਰਚਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਹਾਲੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਫਾਰਿਗ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। 26 ਜਨਵਰੀ 1987 ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਜੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੇ ਹੋਏ ‘ਸਰਬੱਤ ਖਾਲਸਾ’ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੇ ਭਾਈ ਜਸਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਮੁਖ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਮੰਨ ਲਿਆ ‘ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗੈਰ-ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਗੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਐਕਟਿੰਗ ਮੁਖ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਬਰਨਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਠਿੱਠ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਨੇ ਖਾੜਕੂਆਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਲਾਇ ਕੇਸਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਹੈੱਡ-ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਦਮਦਮਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਜਸਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ‘ਤੇ ਹਰਿਮੰਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਹੈੱਡ-ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਾਨਤਾ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ‘ਪੰਥਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ’ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਜਥੇਬੰਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸਣ ਸਿੰਘ, ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ, ਉਦੈ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ਼ੁਬੇਗ ਸਿੰਘ ‘ਤੇ ਗੁਰਬਚਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਨੋਚਾਹਲ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਮਨੋਚਾਹਲ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਐਕਟਿੰਗ ਮੁਖ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਦਆਵਾ ਵੀ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਦੀਵਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪੰਜ ਮੈਂਬਰੀ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੀ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਸਨ: ਜਥੇ: ਜਗਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਖੁਡੀਆਂ, ਸ: ਮਨਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਲਕੱਤਾ, ਡਾ: ਹਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਸ: ਅਜਾਇਬ ਸਿੰਘ ਤੇ ਸ: ਅਵਤਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ।
ਉਧਰ ਬਰਨਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਰਾਂ ‘ਚੋਂ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਨਕਲੀ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਕਤਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਖਿਆ। ਹਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦਰਜਨਾਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਖਾੜਕੂਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਹਿਸ਼ਤ ਫੈਲ ਜਾਵੇ ਪਰ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਵਜੂਦ ਉਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਧਦੀ ਹੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਹਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜੇਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਸਾਰੇ ‘ਤੇ ਰੋਹ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਕੇ ਖਾੜਕੂ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁਖਾਲਿਫਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਪੁਲਸੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਗੁਨਾਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਵੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਤੀਫੇ ਮੰਗ ਲਏ। ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਹੀ ਬਾਬਾ ਜੋਗਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ (ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ) ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ (ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ) ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਸਤੀਫੇ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਬਰਨਾਲਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਸਤੀਫਾ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਇ ਇਕ ਪੰਜ-ਮੈਂਬਰੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਜੋ ਰਾਗੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਗਲਬਾਤ ਕਰੇ।
ਰਾਗੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਲੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਤੁਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਬਣਦਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਬਰਨਾਲਾ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਤੋਂ ਜਥੇ: ਗੁਰਚਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਟੌਹੜਾ, ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਸਿੰਘ ਬਾਦਲ, ਦੋ ਦਰਜਨ ਐਮ.ਐਲ.ਏਜ਼. ਅਤੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਪਿਛੋਕੜ ਬਰਨਾਲੇ ਵਲੋਂ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ‘ਤੇ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ। ਦੂਜਾ, ਬਰਨਾਲਾ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਸੈਂਕੜੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਤਲ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਤੀਜਾ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦਰਵਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ‘ਤੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਗਲਤ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੁਆਫੀ ਮੰਗੀ ਸੀ। ਰਾਗੀ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੂਲੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਫਲਸਫੇ ਤੇ ਰਿਵਾਇਤ ਮੁਤਾਬਿਕ। ਇੰਞ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਖਲ ਦੇਣਾ ਬੇਮਾਅਨਾ ਸੀ।…

…8 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਨਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਰਾਗੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਮੰਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਨਾਂਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ। 9 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਗੀ ਨੇ ਬਰਨਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਤਨਖਾਹੀਆ ਕਰਾਰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਰਾਗੀ ਨੇ ਬਰਨਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ‘ਤੇ ਵੀ ਤਲਬ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਬਰਨਾਲਾ, ਜਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਆਸ ਸੀ, 11 ਤਾਰੀਖ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ‘ਤੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ। ਇਸ ‘ਤੇ ਰਾਗੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਥ ‘ਚੋਂ ਖਾਰਿਜ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇੰਞ ਹੀ ਰਛਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ 14 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ‘ਤੇ ਤਲਬ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਨਾ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਖਾਰਿਜ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। 15 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਗੀ ਨੇ ਐਮ.ਐਲ.ਏ ਨੂੰ 21 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਤਕ ਦੀ ਮੁਹਲਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਐਮ.ਐਲ.ਏ ਨੇ ਰਾਗੀ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਬਰਨਾਲੇ ਵਲੋਂ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਬਗਾਵਤ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ
15 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਿਊਨਿਸਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਬਰਨਾਲਾ ਦੀ ਪਿੱਠ ਠੋਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਚੈਲੰਜ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਕਸਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ‘ਦੇ ਬਰਨਾਲੇ ਨੇ 20 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਪਿੰਡ ਲੌਂਗੋਵਾਲ ‘ਚ ਇਕ ਇਕੱਠ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਇਕੱਠ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਜ਼ਿਰ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ 90 ਫੀਸਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਹਿੰਦੂ, ਨਾਮਧਾਰੀ, ਰਾਧਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਨਕਲੀ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੀ, ਕਮਿਊਨਿਸਟ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਗੈਰ-ਸਿੱਖ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਬਰਨਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਐਕਸ਼ਨ ਸਿਰਫ ਰਾਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੈਲੰਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਬਲਕਿ ਇਹ ਅਕਾਲ ਾਖਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਬਗਾਵਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ। ਉਧਰ, ਰਾਗੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਐਮ.ਐਲ.ਏਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ 21 ਫਰਵਰੀ ਦਾ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਤਾਮੀਲ ਦੇ ਲੰਘ ਗਿਆ। ਪਰ ਕਾਬਲੇ-ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਗੱਲ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਰਾਗੀ ਨੇ ਬਰਨਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ 37 ਐਮ.ਐਲ.ਏਜ਼ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਐਕਸਸ਼ਨ ਨਾ ਲਿਆ। ਹੋਰ ਤਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ 37 ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਕ ਉਮਰਾਨੰਗਲ (ਜੋ 1960 ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਅੁਗੂਆਂ, ਪੰਥਕ ਮਸਲਿਆਂ, ਪੰਥਕ ਹਿਤਾਾਂ, ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਹੋਛੇ ਤੇ ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ) ਨੇ ਰਾਗੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਬਿਆਨ ਦੇਣੇ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਖੇ ਪਰ ਰਾਗੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ‘ਤੇ ਤਲਬ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ।…

ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼ਿੰਘ ‘ਤੇ ਦਰਜ ਕੇਸ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਵਆਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਰਾਗੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਕਰੀਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਵੀ ਬਦਲ ਗਿਆਂ। ਜੋ ਸ਼ਖਸ਼ ਜੂਨ 1984 ਵਿਚ ਜ਼ੈਲ ਨੂੰ ਪੰਥ ਦਾ ਗਦਾਰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਖਾੜਕੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਗਲ ਵਿਚ ਹਿਮਾਇਤ ਕਰਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਦਿਨ-ਬ-ਦਿਨ ਨਰਮ ਹੋਣ ਗ ਪਈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ 3 ਜੁਲਾਈ 1987 ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਇਕ ਬਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਹਿਕਾ ਕਿ “ਪੰਜਾਬ ਮਸਲੇ ਦਾ ਹੱਕ ਬੰਦੂਕਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਮਸਲਾ ਗਲਬਾਤ ਨਾਲ ਹੱਲ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਅਜ ਤਰਕ (ਦਲੀਲ) ਦਾ ਜ਼ਮਾਨਾ ਹੈ। ਅਜੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਗਦੇ”। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਰਾਗੀ ਨੇ 4 ਅਗਸਤ 1987 ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੇਜਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਹਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਖਾੜਕੂ ਧੜਿਆਂ, ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲਾਂ, ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪੰਥ-ਦਰਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਕਨਵੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਈ। ਕਨਵੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਏਜੰਡੇ ਵਿਚ ‘ਜੋਧਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਕੈਦੀ ਸਿੰਘਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ, ਧਰਮੀ ਫੌਜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਹਾਲੀ, ਬੇਗੁਨਾਹ ਸਿਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਨ’ ਦੇ ਨੁਕਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਕਨਵੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਤੇਜਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਹਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਬੇਲਾਈ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਨਾ ਕਿ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ‘ਤੇ।
ਰਾਗੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਐਲਾਨੀ ਕਨਵੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਅਜੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਇਕ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿਚ ਰਬੈਰੋ ਨੇ ਘੱਟੋ-ਘੱਟ 500 ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਜੇਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਕਈ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਘਰੋਂ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਨਕਲੀ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਕਤਲ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। ਸ਼ੈਂਟਰ ਦੇ ਵਜ਼ੀਰ ਬੂਟਾ ਸਿੰਹੁ ਨੇ ਅਗਸਤ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਹਫਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਭਾ ‘ਚ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਕਿ 1 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਜੁਲਾਈ 1987 ਤਕ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ 235 ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਕਤਲ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ। ਉਂਞ ਅਸਲ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੱਧ ਸੀ।
4 ਅਗਸਤ 1987 ਦੀ ਕਨਵੈਨਸ਼ਨ
4 ਅਗਸਤ ਦੀ ਕਨਵੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਰ ਸ਼ਖਸ ਦੀ ਸਕਰੀਨਨਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਕਨਵੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਏਜੰਡਾ ਜੋਧਪੁਰ ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਿਹਾਈ, ਧਰਮੀ ਫੌਜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਹਾਲੀ ਤੇ ਬੇਗੁਨਾਹ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਤਲ ਰੋਕਣਾ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਜਿਉਂ ਹੀ ਕਨਵੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਈ ਰਾਗੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਬੁਲਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ ਤਿੰਨ ਨੁਕਤਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਖਿਆ। ਇਹ ਨੁਕਤੇ ਸਨ: ਪੰਥ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਕੀ ਹੈ? ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਏ? ਇਸ ਜੱਦੋ-ਜਹਿਦ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੌਣ ਕਰੇ? ਮਿੱਥੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਮੁਤਾਵਿਕ ਖਾੜਕੂ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਕਤ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ “ਪੰਥ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਪਹਿਲੋਂ ਹੀ ਮਿੱਥਿਆ ਜਾ ਚੁੱਕਾ ਹੈ। ਸੋ, ਨਵੇਂ ਐਲਾਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰਤ ਨਹੀਂ”। ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਰਾਗੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਵਿਚ-ਵਿਚ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁਲਾਏ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ‘ਨਵੇਂ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ’ ਦੀ ਧੁਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਰਖੀ। ਪਰ ਅਖੀਰ ਤਕ ਖਾੜਕੂ-ਸੁਰ ਭਾਰੀ ਰਹੀ। ਅਖੀਰ ਰਾਗੀ ਨੇ ਮਾਈਕ ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਆਖਣ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ, “ਰਾਜ ਸ਼ਸਤਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਇਹ ਗਲ ਚੇਤੇ ਰਖਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਸਤਰ ਸਮੇਂ-ਸਮੇਂ ਬਦਲਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਖਾੜਕੂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਸਤਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਕਤਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰਥਾ ਰਖਦੇ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਅਜ ਸਮਾਂ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਤੇ ਵੋਟ ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਰਾਗਜ ਹਥਿਆਉਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਤੇ ਵੋਟ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਸਤਰ ਵਰਤਣੇ ਪੈਣਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ”। ਰਾਗੀ ਨੇ ਹਰਿਆਣੇ ਵਿਚ ਚੌਧਰੀ ਦੇਵੀ ਲਾਲ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਵਜੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ‘ਤੇ ਇਕ ਖਾੜਕੂ ਨੇ ਆਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਦਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਰਾਗੀ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਖੀਰ ਰਾਗੀ ਨੇ ਇਕ ਮਤਾ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਬੋਲ ਸਨ, “ਸਿੱਖ ਪੰਥ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਚ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਤੇ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਢਾਂਚਾ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਥੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਪੂਰੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਮਾਣ ਸਕਣ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੋਲ ਹੋਵੇ”। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਰਾਗੀ ਨੇ ਖਾੜਕੂਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਬਤਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਇਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਵੀ ਬਣਾਈ। ਇਸ ਕਮੁਟੀ ਵਿਚ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਜਸਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਕੰਵਲ ਵੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸੀ। ਰਾਗੀ ਦਾ ਮਤਾ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸੂਬਾ ਵਰਗਾ ਗਰਦਾਨ ਕੇ ਖਾੜਕੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਖਾੜਕੂ ਜਥੇਬੰਦੀਆਂ, ਬੱਬਰ ਖਾਲਸਾ, ਪੰਥਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ, ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਲਿਬਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਫੋਰਸ, ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਕਮਾਂਡੋ ਫੋਰਸ, ਸਿੱਖ ਸਟੂਡੈਂਟਸ ਫੈਡਰੇਸ਼ਨ (ਗੁਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ), ਭਿੰਡਰਾਂਵਾਲਾ ਟਾਈਗਰਜ਼ ਫੋਰਸ ਆਫ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਤੇ ਹੋਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਡਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਬੇਸ਼ੱਕ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਰਾਗੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ। ਸਿਰਫ ਹਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਰਾਗੀ ਦੀ ਹਿਮਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਤੇ ਰਾਗੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਖਾੜਕੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਏਜੰਟ ਦਸਿਆ।
ਦਰਅਸਲ ਰਾਗੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ‘ਸ਼ਸਤਰ’ ਅਤੇ ‘ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ’ ਦੇ ਲਫਜ਼ਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਉਲਝਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਤੇ ਤਾਕਤ ਵੰਡਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਉਹ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਕਾਮ ਰਿਹਾ।
ਖਾੜਕੂਆਂ ਵਲੋਂ ‘ਸਰਕਾਰੀਆਂ’ ਦਾ ਲੇਬਲ ਲੁਆਉਣ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਰਾਗੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼ਿੰਘ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਚੁਪਚਾਪ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਜ਼ਰਿਕਪੁਰ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ।
18 ਅਗਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ (ਹੈੱਡ-ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ), ਜਸਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ (ਮੁਖ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਦਮਦਮਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤਲਵੰਡੀ ਸਾਬੋ), ਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ (ਮੁਖ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਕੇਸਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ), ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ (ਹੈੱਡ-ਗ੍ਰੰਥੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ) ਨੇ ਇਕ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਵਿਚ ਖਾੜਕੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਹਿਮਾਇਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਘੋਲ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਖਣ ਤੇ ਆਪਸ ਵਿਚ ਏਕਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਜਾਰੀ ਕੀਤਾ। …

…4 ਅਗਸਤ 1987 ਦੀ ਕਨਵੈਨਸ਼ਨ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਰਾਗੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਜ਼ੀਰਕਪੁਰ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਤਕਰੀਬਨ ਚਾਰ ਕੁ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਚੁਪ ਰਹਿਣ ਪਿਛੋਂ 17 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ 5 ਦਸੰਬਰ 1988 ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿਚ ‘ਇਨਸਾਫ ਮਾਰਚ’ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਮਕਸਦ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਅਸਤੀਫਾ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਰ, ਰਾਗੀ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਸਾਖ ਖਾੜਕੂਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਸੀ। ਰਾਜੀਵ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਹ ‘ਚੱਲ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਕਾਰਤੂਸ’ ਹੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ‘ਮਾਰਚ’ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਇਜ਼ਾਜ਼ਤ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ। 31 ਦਸੰਬਰ 1987 ਰਾਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਨਜ਼ਰਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

Some of these fools say that Dasam granth is anti Gurmat as creation is from ear wax in Bachitra Natak,but these fools do not read first line of that verse that itself says that God created creation in one moment.The next lines is a myth. Myth is to impart a moral lesson.

In the beginning, when KAL created the world, it was brought into being by Aumkara (the One Lord).
The same myth comes in Sri guru Granth sahib ji also. They will know if they read bani themselves.Blind is leading a blind.
Let us not stray from the real issue.Real issue is that darshan singh ragi concocted a story to pass filthy remarks about Guru Gobind singh ji.He said that this story is in Dasam granth sahib.

These are ignorant and blind Sikhs leading the blind.The two jathedars of takhat hazur sahib and Takhat patna sahib themselves are BAGI of The Sikh Reahta maryada.They have refused to adhere to the Sikh rehat maryada.They are stooges of the sant samaj have pawned the Panth into the hands of the sadh community and their political masters- badal and family.Not only a very sad day but will be a sad century for the Sikh community.Their actions are short sighted and have caused a great division in the Sikhs.It should be noted they did not even follow the process properly.They should have refered the matter back to the local level in thye frist instance.They have manipulated their power and the Takhat for their own ends.Time will show this was indeed a great folly of their and not in the interest of the community.
