Sikhs prove faith schools work

GGSJI COLLEGE UK: Students from the Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College are celebrating yesterday (Thursday August 27) after another good round of GCSE results. This Sikh faith school has proved that this type of school achieves better result due to the atmosphere and religious doctrines. Yesterday Nervous students, many with parents, rushed to the college in Roding Lane this morning to pick up their results.

Outside the college there were tears of relief and smiles all round as the students discovered they had continued the college’s history of strong results. Faraz Ahmed, 17, got two A*’s including Maths, one A, one grade B and passed his ICT exam, reports This is London newspaper. He said: “I’m very pleased, I’m going on to do accountancy at Barking College so the A* in maths is really good news. “I think my parents will be very pleased with this, the teachers at the college were very helpful.”

Krishna Trivedi, 16, was relieved after discovering he had three A*’s, two A’s, two B’s and two C’s. He said: “I’m going off to sixth form at Bancroft’s school but then I want to go on to do medicine, I worked really hard so this is a good result. Krishna’s proud dad, Kailash added: “He did all the hard work, we just tried to guide him, but yes, we are very proud of him today.”Overall, 90 percent of the students got five or more A*- C grades, and some of the year 10 pupils had the chance to sit theirs earlier.

Headteacher Amarjit Toor said: “We have covered more subjects this year than ever before especially languages. “Our year 10 pupils sat GCSE maths and science exams a year early, 30 percent achieved A* or A in maths. Others will have the chance to improve these results next year, and we look forward to a bright year ahead.”

Guru Nanak Sikh Secondary School, another faith based school in Hayes, had success to celebrate with 100% of the students achieving 8 A*-C grades at GCSE.

    Very good news and congratulations to all. Such good and great efforts should be done in other cities of world having thick population of Sikh community and one request that SINGHS AND KAURS MUST BE ADDED WITH THEIR NAMES AND NO SUB CAST PLEASE THESE ARE THE PILLERS OF SIKHISM.
